My purpose with this work is to keep alive the indigenous and ancestral culture of my country. That is why I justify having chosen the roofs of the churuatas as the image, due to their geometry and precise structure, which I arranged in my imagination with the force of colors and the corporeality of materials, thus creating kinetic effects and giving life to the work:

Ättä: Casa mágica

We can appreciate Claudia Lavegas' work both in its formal excellence and in its conceptual value. This is evident in her appreciation for our native cultural roots and her interest in preserving nature. The paintings and drawings in this exhibition are focused on two fundamental themes: the roofs of the churuatas (indigenous huts) and views or cross-sections of trees, which result from her recurring trips to the Amazon. Her representation of these themes is so powerful because there is a need to deeply understand our native cultural context, which involves experiencing and touching nature as well as seeing the habitats of indigenous communities that live there. The result is an interesting challenge between reality and abstraction in which there is undoubtedly an ethical reflection of art, while also evoking a strong aesthetic and emotional sense in the viewer.
